Patient Stories

Hear from Colorado residents who received free advocacy support through Common Sense Healthcare.

"After my surgery, I received a $14,000 bill that my insurance said was out-of-network. Common Sense Healthcare reviewed everything and found that the anesthesiologist was the only out-of-network provider. They filed a No Surprises Act complaint and got the entire balance written off." Maria T., Aurora — Emergency surgery billing dispute, 2024
"I had no idea I qualified for marketplace subsidies. The navigator walked me through the entire enrollment process and I went from paying $620 a month for insurance to $180. That extra $440 a month changed my family's life." James K., Lakewood — Marketplace enrollment assistance, 2023
"My daughter's insulin prior authorization was denied three times. The team wrote a clinical necessity letter, coordinated with our endocrinologist, and filed an external appeal. The denial was reversed in twelve days. They saved her health." Patricia D., Westminster — Prior authorization appeal, 2024
